If you are a customer, a newsletter subscriber, or simply a visitor to our website, you entrust us with personal data. We are responsible for protecting and safeguarding it. Please take a moment to review this privacy policy, which explains the principles and rights you have under the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).
We are JVS HOLDING GROUP a.s., based at Lomnického 1742/2a, 140 00 Prague 4, Czech Republic, Company ID (IČO): 08643466, operator of the website www.sherlockholmespraha.cz. We process your personal data as the data controller — that is, we determine how and for what purpose your personal data is processed, for how long, and which additional processors, if any, assist us with that processing.
If you would like to contact us regarding our processing of your data, you can reach us at: info@sherlockholmespraha.cz
As controller of your personal data, we declare that we meet all legal obligations required by applicable legislation, in particular data protection law and the GDPR. Specifically: we process your personal data only on a valid legal basis — primarily legitimate interest, performance of a contract, a statutory obligation, or consent given; we fulfil our duty to inform you under Article 13 of the GDPR before processing begins; and we enable and support you in exercising your rights under data protection law and the GDPR.
We process personal data that you provide to us directly, for the following purposes:
Provision of services / performance of a contract. We need your personal data — your email — solely to fulfil our contractual obligations
(e.g. sending app access details, delivering goods or tickets).
● vedení účetnictví. Jste-li zákazníky, vaše osobní údaje (fakturační údaje) nezbytně potřebujeme, abychom vyhověli zákonné povinnosti pro vystavování a evidenci daňových dokladů.
Marketing — sending newsletters. We use your personal data (email and name), gender, what you click on in our emails, and when you most often open them, for the purpose of direct marketing — sending commercial communications. If you are our customer, we do this on the basis of legitimate interest, as we reasonably assume you're interested in our news, for 5 years from your last order. If you are not yet our customer, we send newsletters only with your consent, for 5 years from when it was given. In both cases, you can withdraw consent at any time via the unsubscribe link in every email we send.
Advanced marketing based on consent. Only with your consent may we also send you inspiring offers from third parties, or use your email address for purposes such as remarketing and ad targeting on Facebook, for 5 years from when consent was given. This consent can, of course, be withdrawn at any time via our contact details.
When you browse our website, we record your IP address, how long you spend on each page, and which page you came from. We regard using cookies to measure site traffic and tailor how the website is displayed as our legitimate interest as controller, since we believe this lets us offer you even better service. Cookies used for ad targeting are processed only with your consent. Our website can also be browsed in a mode that doesn't allow personal data to be collected. You can disable cookies on your own computer at any time.
We protect personal data to the greatest extent possible, using modern technologies appropriate to the current state of technical development — we protect it as if it were our own. We have adopted and maintain every available (currently known) technical and organisational measure to prevent misuse, damage, or destruction of your personal data.
For certain processing operations we can't carry out ourselves, we rely on the services and applications of processors who can protect data even better than we can and who specialise in that type of processing. These include the providers of the following platforms:
Smartemailing — newsletter distribution application
Active24 webmail — application for email communication and customer support
Google — Tag Manager, Google Search Console, Google Analytics and Google Ads
Elementor Pro — page builder
We may decide to use further applications or processors in future, to make processing easier or of higher quality. If we do, we promise to hold any new processor to at least the same standards of security and quality that we hold ourselves to.
We process data exclusively within the European Union, or in countries that ensure an adequate level of protection under a European Commission decision.
In connection with the protection of personal data, you have a number of rights. If you would like to exercise any of them, please contact us at: info@jvsgroup.cz.
Yo have Right to information — fulfilled by this information page, which sets out our data processing principles.
Thanks to Right of access — you can ask us at any time to confirm, within 14 days, what personal data of yours we process, and why.
If anything about you changes, or you find your personal data to be out of date or incomplete, you have the right to have it corrected or completed.
You can exercise the right to restriction of processing if you believe we're processing inaccurate data about you, if you believe we're processing it unlawfully but don't want it deleted entirely, or if you've objected to the processing. You can restrict either the scope of the data or the purposes of processing. (For example, unsubscribing from the newsletter restricts the purpose of processing to sending commercial communications.)
If you'd like to take your personal data and transfer it elsewhere, we'll proceed in the same way as for the right of access — except that we'll send you the information in a machine-readable format. This requires at least 30 days.
You also have the right to erasure (the “right to be forgotten”). We don't want to forget you, but if that's what you'd like, you have the right to it. In that case, we'll delete all your personal data from our system and from the systems of all sub-processors and backups. Fulfilling the right to erasure takes 30 days. In some cases we're bound by statutory obligations — for example, we must keep issued tax documents for the period required by law — in which case we'll delete only the personal data that isn't bound by other legal requirements. We'll let you know by email once the deletion is complete.
If you feel we're not handling your data lawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection at any time. We'd appreciate it, though, if you'd let us know first, so we have the chance to look into it and put things right.
If you're our customer, we send you emails with inspiration, articles, products and services on the basis of our legitimate interest. If you're not yet a customer, we only send them with your consent. In both cases, you can stop receiving our emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link included in every email we send.
We assure you that our employees and collaborators who process your personal data are required to maintain confidentiality about that data and about any security measures whose disclosure could compromise its security. This duty of confidentiality continues even after their working relationship with us ends. Your personal data will not be disclosed to any third party without your consent. This privacy policy is effective as of 26 April 2026 and replaces any previous version. Thank you for your time!
Děkujeme Vám za Váš čas!
